After her unsuccessful soap ang “Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang”, Marian Rivera will be back into fantaserye genre playing DARNA na naging markado ito three years ago na pinagbidahan ng sexy at Only You Star Ms. Angel Locsin. Marami ang nagulat dahil parang hindi pa talaga nakapag.move on ang GMA-7 sa pagkawala ng kanilang Ultimate Primetime Queen na si Ms. Angel Locsin. Lalo na ngayong naghihikahos ang ratings nila these past few months.

Mas lalong nakakagulat dahil may lumabas recently na banner ni Marian Rivera wearing DARNA Costume. I read on forum that it was real picture of Ms. Angel Locsin when she played Darna at pina.photoshop lang ito gamit ang mukha ni Marian. Maraming fans ni Ms. Locsin ang nag-react dahil katawan ng actress ang ginamit at mas lalong masakit dahil pinirmahan pa ito ni Marian ang banner na alam naman nya siguro na hindi nya ito katawan.

In my opinion, it was out of respect to Ms. Angel Locsin. Ms. Angel Locsin played DARNA three years ago with flying colors at isa ito sa mga pinaka-highest rating na natala sa telebisyon on that time. Huwag naman nating sirain dahil lang sa gusto nating sumikat ulit.

When she was asked, why facial care center? “Kasi painless siya talaga, and after the process, ang smooth talaga ng skin mo”. She really do believe and trust the product she endorses that’s why big companies still get Ms. Locsin to work with them.

I can say Ms. Angel Locsin’s popularity has come back into where it is. Just recently, she won The Battle of the Billboard for Folded and Hung which was organized by www.stylebible.ph. She got more than two million votes and she also covered for the 20th Anniversary of Hair Asia Magazine  March 2009 Issue. Her upcoming soap, a Korean Telenovela “ONLY YOU” who she played Jillian a chef.

Ms. Angel Locsin’s behaviour towards her fans and people she worked with was her secret ingredient that makes her stay longer in showbusiness. She’s very talented, down to earth and most of all very professional in her craft. She always surprise them with things that you can’t imagine that Ms. Angel Locsin can do.

Ms. Angel Locsin nominated as Best Actress!!! October 16, 2008

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) released their sets of nominee in the 22nd Star Awards for Television this year. Ms. Angel Locsin got two nominations from different categories. One from Maalaala Mo Kaya and the other one was from teleserye “LOBO”.

Pagkatapos maitanghal ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), Inc. ang kanilang 24th Star Awards for Movies nung June 27, 2008 (at matagumpay na nai-on the air), ang 22nd Star Awards for Television naman ang pinaghahandaan ng nasabing press club.

Pagkalipas ng halos dalawang buwang pagre-review ng best TV shows and performances ng nakaraang taon, pormal nang inihayag ng voting members ng PMPC ang mga nominado para sa darating na 22nd PMPC Star Awards for Television.

Para sa taong ito, napili ng PMPC si Ms. Rosa Rosal bilang recipient ng Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award, at si Senator Loren Legarda naman ang gagawaran ng Excellence In Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award.

As of press time ay inaayos pa ang mga detalye para sa Gabi ng Parangal na malamang ganapin by late November. Samantala, narito ang official nominees ng 22nd PMPC Star Awards for Television:
Para sa Best Single Performance by an Actress category, lahat ng nominado ay mula sa Maalaala Mo Kaya ng ABS-CBN. Sila ay sina Gloria Romero (“Singsing” episode), Susan Roces (“Basura” episode), Helen Gamboa (“Mesa” episode), Cherry Pie Picache (“Tren” episode), Shaina Magdayao (“Telebisyon” episode), at Angel Locsin (“Pilat” episode). Ang mga beteranang aktres na sina Gloria at Susan ay ngayon lang magkakalaban sa isang TV award-giving body.

Para sa Best Single Performance by an Actor (na ang mga nominado ay galing muli sa MMK), nagpakitang gilas sa larangan ng pagganap ang dalawa pa ring veteran actors ng Pelikulang Pilipino na sina Dolphy (“Bisikleta” episode) at Eddie Garcia (“Singsing” episode). Makakalaban nila ang higit na mas bata sa kanilang sina Gary Valenciano (“Bag” episode), John Wayne Sace (“Mesa” episode), Gabby Concepcion (“Taxi” episode), at ang batang si Joshua Dionisio (“Sako” episode).

For Best Drama Actress, magtutunggali sina Dina Bonnevie (Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita), Judy Ann Santos (Ysabella), Sunshine Dizon (Impostora), Angel Locsin (Lobo), Lovi Poe (Sine Novela Presents: Kaputol Ng Isang Awit), at Coney Reyes (Ysabella).

Best Drama Actor nominees naman sina Mark Anthony Fernandez (Impostora), Piolo Pascual (Lobo), John Lloyd Cruz (Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik), Tirso Cruz III (Sine Novela Presents: Kaputol Ng Isang Awit), Ryan Eigenmann (Lobo), Sam Milby (Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik), at Robin Padilla (Joaquin Bordado).

Best Drama Anthology nominees ang Maalaala Mo Kaya at Your Song ng ABS-CBN and Magpakailanman at Maynila ng GMA-7.

For Best Primetime TV Series, pasok sa panlasa ng PMPC ang dalawang Kapamilya shows na Lobo at Ysabella, samantalang tatlo naman ang Kapuso shows: ang Impostora, La Vendetta, at Joaquin Bordado.

Kahit noon pa ay may rule sa PMPC na hindi puwedeng i-nominate ang anumang show (and its performances) na halaw o franchise ng anumang imported TV show, tulad ng Marimar.

Nominees naman bilang Best Daytime Drama Series ang Prinsesa Ng Banyera ng ABS-CBN at tatlong Sine Novela presentations ng GMA, namely: Kaputol Ng Isang Awit, Maging Akin Ka Lamang, at My Only Love.

Sa larangan ng comedy in Philippine television, napansin ng PMPC ang mga sumusunod na Best Comedy Actress nominees: Pokwang (That’s My Doc), Ai-Ai Delas Alas (Komiks Presents: Volta), Rufa Mae Quinto (Bubble Gang), Susan Roces (John En Shirley), Sharlene San Pedro (Goin’ Bulilit), Nova Villa (That’s My Doc), at Maricel Soriano (John En Shirley).

For Best Comedy Actor, maglalaban-laban ang mga batikang komedyanteng sina Michael V (Bubble Gang), Ogie Alcasid (Bubble Gang), Joey De Leon (Nuts Entertainment), Roderick Paulate (That’s My Doc), Vic Sotto (Ful Haus), at Redford White (Kokey).

Best Comedy Show nominees naman ang Ful Haus ng GMA-7, at John En Shirley and That’s My Doc ng ABS-CBN, samantalang Best Gag Show contenders ang Bubble Gang at Nuts Entertainment ng Siyete, at ang Goin’ Bulilit ng Dos.

For Best Female TV host, lima ang mga nominado: Regine Velasquez (SOP Rules), Pia Guanio (Eat Bulaga!), Valerie Concepcion (Wowowee), Pokwang (Wowowee), at Toni Gonzaga (ASAP ‘08).

We just wish for Ms. Angel Locsin that her dream to win an award will come true. She really deserves an acting award.
